Your Church Family

A Page for Kids

   | Columns, Kids Page | June 08, 2008

When you were born, you were born into a family. You had a mom and a dad and maybe even a sibling or two.

There is another kind of family you belong to—your church family. When you believe in Christ as your Savior, you become a part of God’s family. In July, members of the Reformed Presbyterian Church from around the world will be getting together for a “family reunion.”

If you are going to the International Conference this summer, you can use this page to meet members of that family. On this page, the churches from the denomination are listed. Can you find someone from each church to sign this paper? On Wednesday, July 23, turn your pages in at the Crown & Covenant book table (write your name on it). The person with signatures from the greatest number of churches will win a prize. Make sure your parents are with you when you talk to people you don’t know.

If you are not going to the conference, can you list the pastors from the different congregations? You might be able to find help from people in your church, on the church web site, or using the Minutes of Synod. Ask an adult or your pastor for help.
