Christ RPC in East Providence, R.I., hosted their annual Reformation Day Psalm Sing on the evening of Nov. 3. The sanctuary was filled, with eight local churches represented, including First (Cambridge, Mass.) RPC. A reception followed with snacks provided by members of the congregation.

Will and Kinsey Townsend hosted a psalm sing and dinner on Aug. 10.

Our congregation held a special evening communion service with Rev. Jim Pennington on Aug. 18. The service was planned for the elderly members unable to attend the regular morning communion service. Sixty-eight communicant members attended along with two older members.

On Aug. 19, the elders received Kiera (Morton) Goerner into communicant membership from Springs (Colorado Springs, Colo.) RPC.

To celebrate Elder Joe Worsham’s 50th year serving as an elder, the church held a brunch during the Sabbath school hour.

A bridal shower for Anna Eshelman took place on Sept. 2 prior to her marriage to Isaac Goerner at the church building on Oct. 11.

Peter McCauley and his wife, Emily, are expecting their second child.

Joe Johnson was guest preacher on Oct. 13. His message was titled “Life in the Light.” Pastor Nathan Eshelman has been leading the adult Sunday school class. After a brief respite, he has continued with his in-depth study of church history.
