Donald H. Mullinnix, 82, a member of the Rose Point (New Castle, Pa.) RPC passed into glory Nov. 3 at his home in Indianapolis, Ind., after a long illness. He was born in Beech Grove, Ind., Feb. 17, 1930, to the late Harry and Mae Hibner Mullinnix. Don was a graduate of Geneva College and received his M.B.A. from Indiana University. While attending Geneva, he was awarded the economics prize as well as being named to Who’s Who among Students in American Colleges and Universities. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Don was employed by Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for 30 years as an accountant before retiring in 1992. Over the years, Don was a member of several RP congregations, serving as a ruling elder in some; and he served on a number of presbytery and Synod committees and boards.
He and Mary Eileen Mitchell were married June 14, 1957, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2007.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a sister, Grace (Ralph A.) Hanley and a brother, Ralph C. Mullinnix. Survivors include his wife, Mary Eileen Mullinnix; son, Lawrence N. (Melissa J.) Mullinnix; daughter, Karen S. (Stephen D.) Fugate; five grandchildren, Krista, Rachel, Alec, Ryan and Kaci; and two brothers-in-law, John Mitchell (Plain Grove Township, Pa.), and James Mitchell (Grove City, Pa.).
The funeral was held in the Zionsville Presbyterian Church, Zionsville, Ind. Burial with military honors followed at Crown Hill Cemetery.
