“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8–9

Have you ever received a really, good gift? One you couldn’t wait to tell your friends about? Have you ever given someone a gift you knew they would love?

God gave us the best gift that we can ever get. He gave us His Son, Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He took our sins from us so that God would see us without sin. That is an amazing gift!

God does not give this gift to everyone, but only to those who believe in Jesus. When we believe in Jesus, that is called faith. It is by this faith alone that we receive God’s gift of salvation.

Remember the feeling you got when you gave someone you loved a gift that they really liked? God loves us so much that He has given us an amazing gift. Have you received it?
