Clair Miller joined the 100-year-old club on Mar. 22 while spending the winter in Florida and celebrated again on May 4 after returning home. Katie Hare celebrated her 90th birthday with a card shower in May.
Children, mothers, and friends of the congregation attended the annual Mother’s Day Tea held this year on the Saturday before Mother’s Day.
Nolan Curran, Annie Brown, and Lydia and Audrey McAlister all participated in the Sprinter Retreat sponsored by the Presbytery of the Alleghenies in late March.
Adam, Erica, Mac, and E. B. Zajac returned this spring from an 11-day trip to China where they visited Shanghai and Beijing. They are still debating whether the adults or the children enjoyed Shanghai Disney the most.
Now that Ralph McKelvey is living in an assisted living facility in Grove City, Pa., his wife, Dawn, has moved to a smaller apartment not far from where they had been living in Grove City.
Allison Joseph, Rev. Ralph Joseph’s eldest granddaughter and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Joseph, was the third generation of the Joseph family to graduate from Geneva College on May 11. The graduation ceremony was marked by the graduation of two other members of the extended Joseph family: Evie Joseph, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Joseph; and Allison McCune, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David (Barbara Joseph) McCune.
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, the congregation has joined the 21st Century of comfort with the installation of three inverter heat pumps in the church. The units have the capability of both cooling and heating.
The adult Sabbath school class recently concluded a study of 1 Timothy and is now studying John Jefferson Davis’s book Evangelical Ethics, being taught by Pastor Charles Brown, Rev. Ralph Joseph, and elders Guy Curran and Steven Wilson.
