Sharon (Morning Sun, Iowa) RPC

Greg Stiner, pastor

Our pastor has completed a series of sermons on how each book of the Bible points to our Savior. We’ve also enjoyed in-depth sermons based on the Book of Ephesians.

In addition to the weekly Sunday morning services, afternoon services, and Sabbath school classes, Sharon RP Church offers several options for fellowship and study:

Sunday evening studies, held at the parsonage, have included Crown Financial Ministries and the history of the RP Church.

The women’s Bible study group, which meets in the home of Virginia Johnson, has focused on Philippians, Jude, the books of John, and Galatians.

The midweek discipleship group for men, which meets in the parsonage, has focused on spiritual discipline within the church.

The Burlington Bible Study, which meets in the home of John and Roselea Smith, has studied the Gospel of John and The Dark Side of Islam by R.C. Sproul and Abdul Salieb.

The monthly men’s fellowship breakfast has studied The Shepherd Leader at Home by Tim Witmer and Is It Nothing to You? by Fredrick Leahy.

Covenant Kids/Youth has met once or twice per month at the parsonage.

“Put on the Full Armor of God” was the theme for vacation Bible school. Over 50 students studied and memorized Scripture, sang psalms, and had fun.

Our congregation continues to meet with the Washington, Iowa, RPC for monthly psalm sings throughout the summer.
