Memorize: “There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”—1 Timothy 2:5

Dear Detective in Training,

You have been doing an amazing job with all of these cases! Last month, you discovered that God is always near to us even though we cannot see Him. He always cares for us and protects us, even when we are afraid. Before that, you found out that the Bible is true, and that God hears and answers our prayers.

In this case, you will investigate who God is. The Bible tells us that God is three persons: God (Father), Jesus (Son), and the Holy Spirit. What we want to know is how these three are similar, or alike, and different.

Solve case #4 by using your tool, finding evidence, and asking questions to find out, HOW ARE FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT ALIKE AND DIFFERENT? We look forward to learning what you have found out!

Keep sleuthing,

Detectives Kate and Jocelyn

Crack the Case

Here is an organizer to help you. Have a grownup help you draw three interlocking circles on a piece of paper. Make BIG circles so you have room to write.

Fill in the circles with things you know about each of the names in your three main circles. Look for Bible verses that fit each one.

Here are some Bible verses to try looking up first: * John 14:16, * John 14:26, * Matthew 3:16-17, * Philippians 2:5-8, * 1 Corinthians 2:10-11, * 1 Timothy 2:5, * John 3:16, * Ephesians 4:6, * James 1:17, * Galatians 5:22-23, * 1 Corinthians 6:19.

Activity: Fall Finger Paint

Did you know that God made everyone with a unique fingerprint? Detectives sometimes look for fingerprints to help them solve a case! You can create your own picture using your unique fingerprints. Ask a parent to help.

You will need: * Brown paint or crayons * Paper * Finger paint or ink

Directions: 1. Draw a tree trunk and branches on the paper. (Don’t draw leaves.) 2. Put paint or ink on your thumbs. You could use fall colors like orange, red, and yellow. 3. Press your thumb on the branches of the tree to create the leaves. 4. Now you have a beautiful fall tree!
