Memory: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” —Proverbs 3:5

Dear Detective in Training,

Great job with your first case! We are so glad you used your detective skills to find out “How we know what the Bible says is true.” It takes a lot of practice to be a good detective, so we have another case for you.

A lot of times when I’m feeling happy, I thank God for things He has given me. We can thank God for a home, food, and clothes. But sometimes we ask God for things and He does not give them to us. Have you ever asked God for something and He didn’t give it to you? Sometimes God does not give us what we pray for.

For case #2 it is up to you to figure out why I don’t always get what I pray for. We are depending on you to ask questions, find evidence, and use tools to find out WHY DON’T I ALWAYS GET WHAT I PRAY FOR?

Keep sleuthing,

Detectives Jocelyn and Kate

Crack the Case

Last time we discovered how the Bible is a great tool! Use these verses to help find the answer to case #2.
