Jesus gave His disciples (and us!) a guide for praying in Matthew 6:9-13. We call this the Lord’s Prayer. God also gave laws to His people. The laws in Exodus 20:2-17 make up the Ten Commandments. The Lord’s Prayer and the Ten Commandments are still supposed to be used by us today, to help us worship God and live out our faith in daily life by obedience and prayer.
Match the phrases in the Lord’s Prayer with the commands in the Ten Commandments. Some commandments are combined because they fit with one phrase in the prayer. Remember to think of these laws during your daily prayers. Ask Jesus to help you desire to glorify God and be obedient to Him.
You will find the answers in the Bible passages listed. Ask your parents for help if you need it.
The Lord’s Prayer: Matthew 6:9-13

- Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors
- Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
- For Yours is the kingdom, power, and glory forever
