Parents are George and Florence Bruno and James Small and Patricia Brown. Jim was suffering from stage-four colon cancer when they were married. Deaths
Bruno, James Joseph, age 48, Sept. 11. The funeral service was held on Sept. 15 at the First RP Church of Cambridge, Mass. Elders Thomas Fisher, Timothy Montgomery and Christopher Wright officiated. Burial was in Cambridge Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Howe officiating. Survived by his wife, Mollie Bruno; brothers Michael (Billerica, Mass.) and Paul (Melrose, Mass.); sister Theresa Bruno (Billerica, Mass.); and nephews Matthew, Brendan and Sean Bruno. Cerbus, Gregory Eugene, age 50, Apr. 3, after a 15-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Pastor Gordon Keddie officiated the funeral at Southside RP Church. Burial followed at Fairland Cemetery. Greg is survived by wife, Elaine; sons Ryan, Ross, and Rory; daughters Anne, Julia, Bethany; and grandson Reuben. A faithful deacon, he bore testimony to the goodness and love of God in his life. For his faith, humor, servant’s heart, quiet strength, and for his immeasurable impact on the lives of those around him, he will be remembered and greatly missed. (Southside [Indianapolis, Ind.] RPC)
Hamer, Theodore James (Theo), age 55, Feb. 7. Pastor Ed Hindman officiated at the memorial service in Denison, Kan. Theo served as the chairman of the deacon board and previously served as Sabbath school treasurer. He is survived by wife, Yvonne; children Rebecca (Chris) Kerry, Michael (Bronwen) Hamer, Matthew Hamer, Jeremiah (Emily) Hamer, Timothy (Sarah) Hamer; six grandchildren; father Warren Hamer I; brother Warren (Marianne) Hamer II; and sisters Vicki Bastin and Rosemary Diaz. Phillips, Harlan R., age 90, Feb. 4. Pastor Ed Hindman officiated at the funeral and graveside services in Denison, Kan. Harlan had served as a deacon, an elder and Sabbath school treasurer. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two sisters, Ruth Prejean and Norma (Ken) Casford; three brothers, Curtis, Earl, and Alan (Donna) Phillips; his children, Ralph (Phyllis) Phillips, George (Sarah) Phillips, Carole (Bill) Chapin, Mitzie (Steve) VanHorn and Margaret (Mike) Sibley; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
