It was a full house for the APF church service on Aug. 9, the day after a back-to-school family fling.

Atlanta Presbyterian Fellowship (APF) averages close to 40 in attendance at weekly worship since moving into its new facility—one side of a duplex in the heart of the English Avenue community. The children’s Sunday school recently has gone from two classes to three, so as not to have such a wide age range within classes. A communicants class for teenagers meets every other Wednesday, and a men’s discipleship group gathers on Saturday mornings. In October, APF had a table at a community street fair, where numerous contacts were made and hundreds of flyers were distributed. Prayer requests include increased financial support and the development of leadership.

On Sept. 13, Paul Welander was ordained and installed as a ruling elder and Alex Greene as a deacon in a meeting in which pastors and elders of the Front Range participated. Meghan Holaday became a communicant member Oct 18. She was a baptized member of Springs Reformed Church.

A number of Westminster women joined other RP women and friends Oct. 9-11 at a fall retreat, organized by the ladies of Springs RP Church, at the beautiful Glen Eyrie/Navigators Conference Center. Cheryl Hemphill spoke on being useful in the church.

Midwest Presbytery met in Westminster for its fall meeting Nov. 3-5. Members of the congregation organized meals and provided hospitality.

Rev. Steven Work and his wife, Jean, visited from Dayton, Ohio. Pastor Work led us in worship Nov. 8.
