Marge and Clair Miller were the recipients of a gift from Mark and Julie Maurer and their four children who took them to see a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game this fall. It was the first time Clair had seen a Major League Baseball game.

Jeremiah and Anastasia Wilson are settled into their new apartment near the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary where Jeremiah is a student and Anastasia is developing an editing business.

Nolan, Joann, Lupe, Guy Justus, and Glenn James Curran took a field trip in October to Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historical Center in Avella, Pa. They saw a wigwam, watched a blacksmith, sat in a one-room schoolhouse, and dipped candles. Nolan Curran recently received a Billy Mitchell award from the Civil Air Patrol in a ceremony in Hershey, Pa. He has attained the rank of C/1LT.

Kara Swansiger is very active in the Columbiana, Ohio, Community Theater. She recently was part of the chorus for The Addams Family, and soon will be starting rehearsals for A Christmas Carol. She was chosen for the Mahoning County Honors Chorus, which performed in late October.

Joday Joseph is recuperating from knee replacement surgery and is doing well. Her husband, Ralph, performed with the 215-piece alumni band at the Geneva College homecoming in early October.

Several members of the congregation donated food and helped serve it to about 60 guests at the City Rescue Mission in New Castle in late September.

Annie and Dora Brown played soccer this fall on the Plants & Pillars junior high team, a homeschool team that competes against Christian schools in the area.

The church family had a good time of feasting and fellowship on New Year’s Day. A highlight of the afternoon was a history presentation by Elder Steve Wilson assisted in research by his wife, Patricia, and Elder John Mitchell.

Adam Zajac underwent successful surgery for a torn Achilles tendon in January.

The Curran family hosted two of their sons, Ethan and Shane, and their wives over the Christmas holiday. Both men are in the U.S. Army. Ethan will be stationed in Fort Riley, Kan., and Shane in Hawaii.

Marge and Clair Miller celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on Nov. 17. Ralph Joseph celebrated his 80th birthday in November, and his wife, Joday, her 80th in December. Their 10th wedding anniversary was in late November.
