Bryan Schneider, pastor
Pastor Bryan Schneider and his wife, Olivia, worked endless hours to serve the community by hosting a marriage conference in September. The sanctuary was filled with couples from our congregation, the community, and some who have never been affiliated with our church. Lord willing, our church will host another conference—possibly on parenting—in the near future.
When COVID-19 forced the closure of the church building in March, Pastor Schneider made a few adjustments to the weekly online services he had already been conducting for over a year. These worship services were well received by people during this time, both within our denomination and outside of it. His sermons have been focused on the Book of Ephesians. Sunday afternoons included prayer meetings via Zoom.
While regular Bible studies were suspended, Pastor Schneider led a Tuesday evening Zoom study on the Book of Matthew. He also led early morning, daily devotions. Please visit the congregation’s webpage (sharonrpc.org) or Facebook page (Sharon RP Church) for past sermons, daily devotions, or live feeds.
Our elders prayerfully and carefully worked out a plan to slowly return to post-COVID regular worship services and activities.
We rejoice in three marriages of young adults who spent their growing years in our congregation. Caleb Robb married Paige Amundson, Noah Robb married Gabrielle Diewold, and Jasmine Hills married Jakob Brockway.
We are sorry for the loss of one member, John Rice. His dedication as a deacon and assistance with vacation Bible school will be missed.
