Sterling, Kan., RPC

Dennis Prutow, Pastor

Derek Miller, Associate Pastor

In late November, Pastor Prutow and his wife moved into a home of their own. They held an open house for the congregation on Dec. 11.

Their daughter. Kristi, finished all the requirements and is now an attorney in Evansville, Ind. She was home for Christmas, as were sisters Gail and Denise, together with Denise’s husband, Russ, and baby, Zoe.

Pastor Miller and his wife, Kelly, were blessed with the birth of a baby girl, Rachel Elizabeth, on Nov. 29. After finishing the college year as resident directors of one of the women’s dorms at the college, the Millers expect to occupy the recently vacated parsonage.

Tanner Wilkey, son of John and Phyllis Wilkey, enrolled this past fall at North Central Tech College in Beloit.

Pastor Miller arranged to have a Christmas tree in the church foyer with tags bearing the name of needy people. Each member was urged to take a tag and purchase some appropriate gift. Pastor Miller delivered the gifts that some couldn’t deliver.

On New Year’s Eve, the usual church time was devoted to singing psalms and prayer. One item of prayer was giving the Lord thanks for His financial blessings, which enabled the congregation to over subscribe its church budget. This period was followed by a time of fellowship and consuming sandwiches, various items of a confectionery nature, hot punch. and pop.
