“Christ Alone”—What Does That Mean?

When you think of being saved, what do you think of? Do you think of a firefighter saving you from a fire? Do you think of an ambulance coming to help you if you’ve been hurt? There are many people who have jobs to help save other people. There are also many people who save others even though it is not their job.

In this life, we can be saved by people, but to be saved for all eternity, we must believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins.

Solus Christus is a phrase that means “Christ alone.” This is an easy phrase to memorize that will help us remember that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we are saved.
