Deaths

Hulbert, Robert A., Aug. 18, age 67. The funeral at Walton, N.Y., RPC was officiated by Pastor Brad Johnston and the graveside service conducted by Daniel Kiehl. Bob was a longtime faithful member of the RP church in New Castle, Pa., Second (Indianapolis, Ind.) RPC, and Walton, N.Y., RPC. Bob is survived by his wife, Loretta; his children James Hulbert, Jean (Jamie) Blowers, and Jerry (Romilyn) Hulbert; 6 grandchildren; twin brother Ronald Hulbert; brothers Denny, Barry and Kevin; and sisters Nancy and Susan. Klipp, Margaret, Aug. 17, age 83. Pastor Andrew Schep officiated at her memorial service. Margaret is survived by her husband, David; stepsons Todd and Del; and her grandchildren. (Syracuse, N.Y., RPC)

Lambert, Alvin Paul, Aug. 25, age 83. Dr. Robert LaMay officiated at the funeral service on Aug. 28 at the Sharon RP Church. Interment was at the Sharon RP Church Cemetery. Alvin is survived by sons Ron (Pam) Lambert of Beavercreek, Ohio and Paul (Jennifer) Lambert of Orange City, Iowa; daughters Ada (Art) Potratz of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Marie Woodrow of Morning Sun, Iowa; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ola (McElhinney)Lambert. Prior to retirement, Alvin spent many years as an engineer on towboats. (Sharon [Morning Sun, Iowa] RPC)

Shafer, Charles W., Apr. 30, age 98. Pastor Charles Leach officiated at the service held at the Coldenham-Newburgh RPC, with burial immediately following at the Coldenham Cemetery. Charlie was an elder at Coldenham RPC for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth. He is survived by a sister, Virginia Crawford; sons Charles Jr. (Pam) and Phillip (Lesesne); daughter, Lois Hegeman (Tom); 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Wallace, Brenda Marie, Sept. 23, age 58. Pastor Titus Martin officiated at the service held at College Hill RP Church. After high school Brenda joined the Women’s Army Corps where she trained as a pharmacy technician and later worked in the pharmacy at the VA in San Antonio. She graduated from Geneva College and taught at Beaver County Christian School. Brenda was an active member of College Hill RPC, served on the education committee and taught Sabbath school. She is survived by her husband, Jonathan; a son and daughter-in-law Jedidiah and Laura at Wright-Patterson AFB; daughter Abigail, son Matthew in Afghanistan; grandson Zachary; 5 brothers and 4 sisters-in-law; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law.
