The elders, deacons and their spouses gathered in Hays, Kan., for an annual restaurant meal and planning time for the 2011 activities of Quinter RPC. Elder Joe Copeland and his wife, Edie, joined them for the occasion. After eating together they met at the Good Samaritan Center in Hays, Kan., where the Copelands reside. During the winter there was a prayer meeting once a month in Hays to have fellowship with the Copelands, Carol Hoppes, and Shirley Roberts, who cannot travel the 52 miles to the midweek prayer meeting in Quinter. The small group enjoyed praise and prayer led by elder Fred Irwin. —Fran Mann, correspondent
